Cystoscopy is a procedure to visualize the lower urinary tract (urethra + bladder) performed by a physician. The procedure uses a flexible or rigid scope inserted through the urethra with water irrigation to distend the bladder.
Biopsy samples or other procedures may be performed through the cystoscope.
