Complex CMG 51726 51726
Complex CMG with urethral pressure studies 51726 and 51772 51727
Complex CMG with voiding pressure studies 51726 and 51795 51728
Complex CMG with voiding pressure studies AND urethral pressure profile studies 51726, and 51795 and 51772 51729
Voiding pressure profile studies, intra-abdominal 51797 51797 (must be billed with 51728 OR 51729)

Needle EMG 51785 51785 (add if performed)
Post-Void Residual by Catheterization 51701 51701 (add if performed)

Below are some coding examples that can be used in a typical Physician’s Office:
If a Complex CMG with Pressure Voiding Pressure Study, EMG and a Uroflow Procedure is performed.

Complex CMG with Voiding Pressure Study 51728
Uroflow 51741-51
EMG 51784-51
PVR by Catheterization 51701-51
Voiding Pressure Test 51797

If a Complex CMG with Pressure Voiding Pressure Study, Urethral Pressure Profile Study, EMG and a Uroflow Procedure is performed.

Test performed. CPT CODE
Complex CMG with Voiding Pressure Study 51729
Uroflow 51741-51
EMG 51784-51
